Will taking a pigeon inside and outside harm it?

  • We want to know if we can take our pigeon inside and outside frequiently. we are wanting to take it inside for a night because it gets under 32 degrees. However, we do not know if somehow it will cause the pigeon to be unable to adapt back to the cold weather. pleaes help? thanks!

  • Healthy pigeons are fine in zero temps. In and out will not harm them.

  • it will adapt

  • Nope, wont hurt it one bit! You would probably save it from freezing to death! But what do I know. I have only been breeding pigeons for almost my entire life!

PS-The bird in my avatar is a Marchenero Pigeon!

PPS-I keep the adults and babys outside in 12 and under weather. BUT they are under the the parents at night! So it keeps them warm! If it is real tiny though with no feathers or is still a squeaker, I would say it couldnt hurt to bring it inside!
