I am considering a move to Toronto (I am Canadian but I have been living in the UK for a long time) but could I get some idea of what it costs to rent a studio apartment (by that I mean, 1 1-room apartment) somewhere centralish? Or the cost of sharing with one other person?
Also, any general comments on the exonomic situation in Toronto would be helpful. Keep in mind I am coming from the UK which is in a terrible state so even if it is bad in Toronto it might still be an improvement!Toronto is a booming society, lots of work opportunity and thriving communities.
For something centrally located, you are looking to pay at least 700 or more, for something that is decent. This could go as high as 2000 or even more, depending on your taste and preference.
Toronto being such a multicultural society, you will find a variety of cultures, which makes our society vibrant and interesting. Lots of great restaurants and cultural events to attend. Everyone I've spoken to from the UK who have moved here have nothing but good things to say. If you're looking for a studio apartment, it's VERY affordable to live here. Public transit is about $100CAD per month. And apartments that size run about $800-$2000 in nice neighborhoods. Minimum wage is currently at around $8/hr. Money is a little tight right now but no one is panicking. Companies aren't really expanding or hiring at insane levels but it's still fairly easy to find employment. Especially around the Christmas season. Our gas prices have been falling quite a bit recently as well.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
