Just curious, a lot of you folks seem absolutely giddy at the thought of us dirty atheists being tortured eternally.
Is that just a personality flaw of Christians, or does your god hate atheists as much as you do?God loves a good debate, and is tired of all these "yes men" Christians. How will God ever grow intellectually if no one ever challenges His beliefs. So, God loves atheists, just to keep things interesting.Dontcha know? Oh wait, you wanted a good answers. There are mean unkind people in every walk of life and philosophy who use various means to manipulate people into thinking like they do, whilst condemning the rest. Religions and ideologies aren't the only groups who have people you'd want to steer clear of.

_()_I have never once told an atheist (or anyone else) that he or she is going to Hell. To do so would be a direct violation of my religious beliefs. We are often told from the pulpit not to go around doing this (yes, there are Fundamentalists who do this, and trust me, they target other Christians just as much as they do non-believers). My church does not teach that Heaven necessarily bars all non-Christians (God is quite powerful; if He wants somebody in Heaven, then they'll be there, regardless of our own petty opinions about that person's beliefs). The thought of anyone burning in Hell, or of anyone gleefully announcing to people that they will, is sickening to me. I do not revel in the thought of people being eternally tormented. If it were up to me (but it's not), I would advocate universal salvation for all people everywhere.Christians worship God not a god.

what an assumption, i hope you don't believe this or if you do it is out of innocence. i think you are just being paranoid about the Christian idea of hell.
if you have experienced hatred from someone whom you consider a Christian, it is based on you as an individual, your personality and behavior and this applies to both parties-flaws. the blame is on Both of you NOT God.
everyone has a flaw irrespective of their belief/ religion.

God does not hate either. He wants to save you. He even made a substitutional death for you.... for the wages of sin is death...I know no Christians who take pleasure in the thought of atheists going to hell. I do see a lot of people who try to use the so-called logic of atheists against them. Fighting fire with fire never works. That is why our Lord commanded us to return love for evil.
God hates sin. Without the salvation that comes from accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you continue down the path to the lake of fire. It really doesn't matter if you believe it exists or not. It is there and awaits anyone who refuses to accept Jesus.
Soldiers in combat have found out the hard way that it does not matter if you believe that the enemy is in front of you. The only thing that truly matters is if they are.I think Atheist have a need for consideration that is entirely undeserved compared to the good folks of the world. God gains no pleasure from little angry children kicking at his heels for his attentions. There are good souls who strive lifetimes to gain God Consciousness, make great pilgrims to foreign lands, nay give their lives as sacrifice in his cause and name.
Atheist are simply required to either lead happy fruitful lives on their own endeavours or to be respectful if they seek his presence or counsel. As Jesus said You are either with God or against him God is greater in his benefaction and generosity.
Be happy living autonomously and self sufficiently or take of his name. But you cannot be out rightly contentious and plague his existence and torment his faithful. He is perfectly fair.
What greater hell than to spend life obsessed by one you feign to hate, in the forums of his devoted, professing hatred and incurring bad karma and ill will from his followers.
Atheists aren t angry enough to inflict any damage to his standing or gracious in sufficiency to be aligned with his will. God would wish upon you happiness regardless whether you sought it or not, as your Almighty Father.Uhhhh..Let's see

God takes no pleasure in it either, though the devil delights in seeing how many he can fool into following him there.
For those who seem "giddy" about it, either you are mistaking their hatred for sin for hatred of the sinner, or they are themselves sinning the sin of self-righteousness and pride. We all deserve hell, and have nothing to boast of except the grace of God.
You know you all say we post your going to hell and I have been on here for a long time and have only seen maybe 3 people actually say you were going to hell. So I really don't see where you come up with this crap. I do see, however, many atheists stating that if by some chance they would be wrong that God would forgive them after all he is a loving God. Wrong !!!!Do you forgive others based merely upon the apologetic utterances of those who ve wronged you? Or do you base your decision to forgive based on the sincerity of the apology? Even man has some innate capability to surmise as to the sincerity of an apology and if we have the slightest inkling of hypocrisy we hold steadfast to our animosities. Do you really think that God would be incapable of seeing your insincerity? Think of the husband who cheats on his wife and gets caught. When he says I m sorry is it because he is genuinely morose and contrite or because his transgressions were exposed? God will know, and oops my bad will mean nothing.
I imagine it'll only hurt for the first thousand years or so. After that you should get used to it and it'll seem more like Miami in the summer. Whether you know it, there are many true Christians praying for you right now.I would say most Christians do not wish anyone to go to hell. Those who are happy that people could go to hell do not speak for the entire Christian population. God is not proud of these people.I don't, nor do I think God does, take pleasure in the thought.

and whats funnier is when those getting giddy over you going to "hell" are the ones who are gonna be upset when their end of days come and they are getting their chestnuts roasted over an open fire , while you are kinda just hanging out learning stuff of the universe or well, :d maybe not . but still. when that happens it's gonna be a hoot. hmm, i keep hearing the "judge not lest ye be judged" i suppose thats one of the scriptures they conveniently overlook cause gee it doesn't fit into their superior world view . or , one they can't really twist to suit their own needs.

It's kind of an character flaw. God doesn't want anyone to go to hell. However, he's made a law that only those who believe that Jesus is their savior can get into heaven. God can't break his own law. God loves everyone and hates seeing them go to hell. It's pretty cruel for them to be happy or excited about it, even relishing the thought of Atheists suffering eternal damnation.. but when they lose a battle of logic, what else is there left to do but hate? first of all i think it's hilarious to just call out christians like youre challenging them to a fight... good stuff... i don't think any true christian wants anyone to go to hell, and im sorry if youve gotten a bad impression... i think its hard for christians to not be judgmental sometimes because they feel like they are constantly being judged by God, and in reality God just wants us to know his love and grace, oh and by the way God loves atheists too, he is lovei don't think God takes pleasure in any of His children going to hell. I think He gives all of us the same opportunity for eternal life and it is up to us to choose it. And we cannot judge less we be judged in the same light, so if we think negatively about you God will judge us the same way and I for one will just pray that you be saved in your own time before the day of judgement. I also get no pleasure out of an atheist or any one else going to Hell. I believe I know how to avoid going there, and as such it is the reason I try to tell others of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

If anyone has pleasure in someone going to hell, they are not a Christian no matter what they say. That is NOT what a Christian does. God does not take pleasure in anyone going to hell.The bible teaches that God is not willing for any to perish, that He desires for all to come to repentance. He also takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked.
I don't know any Christians who take any pleasure in people going to hell. If we did, you would never hear about the saving grace of Jesus Christ.I'm sorry if you've encountered Christians who are happy that anyone is going to hell. It is certainly not a reflection of the loving God that we serve.
Why would God take on human form and die on a cross for people that he hates?
God is trying to reach you through people like me. Unfortunately there are some people who claim to be Christians who find it easier to condemn than to convert.
For that I apologize.I've never felt nor have I witnessed anyone sounding the least bit 'giddy' about anyone going to hell. I personally don't believe all atheists are going to hell any more than I believe ALL Christians are going to heaven.You can't associate the feelings of God with the feelings of his believers or vice-versa.
God created us, for argument's sake, so why would He relish roasting us in hell?
Sometimes I think hell is mentioned in the heavenly books just to warn the believers, that in the judgement day God may forgive all.....I take great pleasure in knowing that it is easy to avoid being sent to eternal hell, and ANYONE can avoid it, if they really want to.
The only way to avoid being sent to hell, is by believing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Therefore it is easier to avoid hell, than to get out of bed in the morning.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is this: The truth is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to eternal hell is by believing that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose again (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe this and you are saved!

You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die :)that's quite an assumption, i don't take pleasure in knowing people will go to hell. I don't think God likes it either, and i feel he's given mankind an "out of hell free" card in Jesus. I have many friends that are atheists and I love them to death. But it's not my call on who goes to hell and who doesn't. God doesn't send people to hell, people decide to go to hell. God is saddened by anyone that would refuse His free gift of salvation. I am just as saddened. Anyone that would be "giddy" about atheists going to hell, don't remember that they at one time were going there as well. We are not perfect, we are saved. Any true believer in Jesus Christ shares with those who don't believe so that they can share in eternal life. Since he is omnipotent he can be forced into nothing that he does not freely desire. If hell exists it must be because he wants it to, or he is not omnipotent.
