Sanbolic said Kayo is a transparent SAN solution using NTFS, which allows SAN users to read and write to the shared volumes on the centralized storage. The data is transferred from the storage to the server or client workstation over the Fibre Channel network while only command and control communication is transferred over TCP/IP, over either Fibre Channel or Ethernet. The automatic refresh functionality updates all Kayo users when a change is made to a volume.
