it can be an apartment how cheap you want first, where is your work place? though we have an efficient public transport network, knowing where you are likely to work can help to narrow down the possibilities and to help you save on time and costs. you can choose to share an apt with a singapore family or share with overseas students. pte apt costs more.

just for a single person, rent a room shared with a singaporean family.. $400 inclusive of electricity, gas, water bills.. though they will allow you for light cooking only.. inside room, they give you with bed, cupboard aka wardrobe and a fan.. no aircon.. its housing development board flat.. from government.. is that ok? you gotta look for an agent first of all for the paper works to be done and he or she will help you find the room.. just say, common room or 1 room without toilet in hdb flat..
