How do I play videos ripped using Auto GK in Windows Vista?

I have videos that have been ripped using Auto GK (from a different computer). The videos can be played in the Media Player in Windows XP but not in the Media Player in Windows Vista.The same problem occurs with Real Player. Real Player prompts to download add ons from the internet but when one allows it, it cannot find it. How can one solve the problem? Sounds like you are missing some codecs in your system.

Option 1 : Use VLC media player. It can play everything!
