purchasing advance tickets at www.ticketweb.com, or by visiting the official Web site of The Louvre museum.
TicketWeb, which competes with Ticketmaster Online, offers a low-cost
ticketing alternative for more than 300 venues in the U.S, including the MoMA
in New York and San Francisco, and is now expanding internationally.
"We are successfully using the Internet to lower fees for buyers and sellers
of tickets worldwide. Our international expansion is progressing as planned,"
said Andrew Dreskin, president of TicketWeb.

over the Internet.
"The ability to order tickets in advance is a great convenience, allowing our
visitors to avoid often very long lines; through TicketWeb, we are pleased to
offer our 1 million North American visitors annually the opportunity to do
so," said Christophe Monin, head of communications at the
Louvre.
This announcement follows the launch of TicketWeb UK on Jan. 4, a joint
venture with the McKenzie Group Ltd., owners of the Brixton Academy and
Shepherd's Bush Empire, two of London's popular music venues.
