I want know know what the best All Seaon, Good Traction, Low Rolling Resistance, LRR, Tires are for my 2005 Prius, that will also go in at least light snow. 185/65/15R . I was told Costco has the Michelin Radial X DT, and that the Michelin Primacy mxv4 are good. Someone said to get the Yokahoma Avid Trz was OK, but a couple people said that one on the highway flys all over the road on a light weight Prius, especially on any grooves. » Tap jabbing.......................â ¦
So I checked this boxing forum out and they mentioned this form of jabbing and it sounds good and I think the style would suit me as im tall and slender. However what is the best way to go about getting good at this sort of technique? I tried it out and it seems it puts a lot of pressure on your shoulder muscles when punching several times so besides push up's and chin up's how could I improve my shoulder muscles so I can send out speedy fast jabs accurately. Any answers would be welcome but I would also like to hear from someone who uses this style often and how it works for you.start punching with 5-10 pound weigts on each hand. also do extended arm pull ups. chin ups are weak dude. anybody can do em but extended arm are hard...... - 2010-02-08
» Why is football called football, it is played with your hands not your feet?
In the U.S., Soccer should be the one called football just like in every other place in the worldMighty Mack is almost entirely correct. First, there was mob football. Played in Europe it looked a lot more like a big riot than anything else. They began refining it but didn't quite have everything down yet (It wasn't codified). A young man by the name of William Webb Ellis got tired of kicking the ball and picked it up and ran with it. After this football/soccer diverged from rugby football (which later diverged into rugby football union and rugby league). Rugby was taken to the US and was considered too dangerous so they changed some rules creating American Football (taking football from rugby "football"). Now before some...... - 2010-02-08

» Putt Putt Golf
I am going to start my first game soon. I have decided on a simple putt putt golf game. I have a basic plan right now as to how to do it, but I plan on adding features later on. I would like to get some feedback/comments/ideas, about what you guys think about this.Your first game as a putt putt game... I admire your corage... But I'd suggest a smaller project... Putt Putt Golf sounds easy at first... But when you think about all the trig ratios you have to do and the amount of advanced physics that you put into it... It becomes alot harder... If you are still going for it.. I might be able to give you some pointers here and there though :)I don't plan on have alot of advanced phsyics. Here is my general idea: 1. Hi people- ok, I am waiting on a certain college to send me something. I haven't gotten an acceptance but I haven't gotten a rejection letter. Do all colleges send something one way or the other?Yes, they should tell you one way or the other. If you haven't heard anything, they're probably still processing your application. If you know the right office to check with, you could always try to contact them to ask if it's been insanely long. They might not know much if you're talking about at the undergraduate level since there are tons of you, but you can always try if it's really bugging you. Grad school. . . yeah, I've done that. I have searched around but most problems seem to be when videos are playing, but mine is all the time. I bought some new cables thinking that was the problem, but it still persists. I am starting this thread to open up a full discussion on colour management, based on the recent threads asking about profiles, and other questions I’ve received. I intend to give a bit of info here from what I’ve learned the past 6 months since taking on a fully colour managed approach to photography. But I mean this to be a starting point. There may very well be some misinformation in here so feel free to point out anything. What I present here is intended to be simply the what and why of my approach to NOT using ProPhoto and rarely even using AdobeRGB for my photos. For those who want to skip to the end there’s a summary in the conclusion. It covers some basics and some advanced themes at the same time. So let’s get into it. Intro...... - 2010-02-08

» Canon 50mm f/1.8 vs. Canon 50mm f/1.4
I'm going to buy one of these 2 lenses in the very short future. My question is this. Is the 1.4 superior enough in speed and image quality to warrant the extra money? I have no problem spending that much on it, but not if it's only marginally better than the 1.8. I don't have a really sharp lens and would like to add a nice sharp lens for portraits to my collection. And it seems like the 1.4 is going to be the best bang for my buck....I have no problem spending that much on it... If only I could say this! The 1.4 is four times as much as the 1.8 (here) - so in case I can suggest to some "Santa Claus" to give me a 50mm prime lens it will (for sure) never be the 1.4 (though that would be so cool!) but definitely only the 1.8. But le...... - 2010-02-08

» vBulletin Template duplication question
I own more than one licensed copy of vBulletin. As new versions of vB require template reversions, I found myself modifying each of my vB site with similar template modifications. I recently wondered whether vB's templates are located in the database or the file system. My searches confirmed that they are located in the database so my idea of updating one copy of the vB software with all of my common template mods and then copying them over to other sites wouldn't work so easily. My question is whether its possible to copy templates only and copy them and only them to a separate site by replacing the template table in the database.Anybody?Templates are in the template table of the database. The recommended way to do this would be to ...... - 2010-02-08

i wanna have a little star tatto in my wrist for a couple of months and i dunno how it's called (is that the henna?) or how it's done... does it hurt?=S tnxHenna is the only thing you can do other than putting a temporary stick on tattoo on your skin that will give you a temporary tattoo. It shouldn't hurt at all since its drawn onto your skin, not embedded into the dermis with needles like a regular tattoo. Some places will claim that they have a tattoo ink that breaks down over time or that it will just fade away, but its a big scam because no such thing is possible or could be guarenteed to work with every body and skinYou can learn all about henna so you can do it yourself, or find an artist to do it for you on the s...... - 2010-02-08
» Metz 45 CT 5 NC with Canon SLR?
Hi, time for me to aks a question in here myself ;) Does anyone have experience with the Metz 45 CT 5 flash with todays Canon (D)SLRs? I've got a Canon EOS 100 and an EOS 5 D ... is there ANY chance to use this flash? I got this flash for free today. Cheers!hmm, looks like nobody has experience with that flash?hmmm ... ok, i give up on this one ;)From this site (http://www.botzilla.com/photo/strobeVolts.html) It says that the Metz 45 CT 5 is rated (measured by user) at 14.8 volts for trigger voltage. I'm guessing that the 5D is rated for 200 or 250 volts (like my 20D)...but your EOS 100 may only be rated at 6V volts...however, the ISO standard for cameras is 24 volts...so 14.8 volts is listed as 'your call'.I have one of those, as...... - 2010-02-08
» Images width/height roadmap for those that can't wait
This info is for those that prefer to have images with width/height settings. I know John mentioned that he was going to address this issue in an upcoming version, but if you're like me you would like to have it now. :) Well, I thought as long as I was going through the trouble why not document my journey along the way. I'm not finished with all the templates yet, but with the following info you can fix width/height of the three of the main most graphic intensive pages (entry page, threads page, and the posts page) you're on your own to track down the rest. This took over 10hrs to do, but with this info I would think that most should be able to fix up their images in an hour or less. This info does not come with any warranty... I...... - 2010-02-08

Pentax K100D "Super" Kit w/ Pentax 18-55mm smc P-DA F3.5-5.6 Zoom and Quantaray 70-300 mm f/4.0-5.6 for $500 shipped. Decent deal with both lenses? I know the Quantaray isn't a great lens, in fact it might be mediocre at best. But the next best deal was $60 less and came with only the kit lens. It sells for $130-$150 online. So for $60 bucks I'm sure it will be fine if I don't plan on shooting action. And, I'm just in it for amateur fun. I went this route because My old Canon Rebel G 35mm kicked the bucket. Which leads to my next question. What would be a decent used Pentax 35mm body that I could share lenses with? Thanks!I use a Pentax ME Super which I believe uses K-mount lenses. » Can low hematocrit and hemoglobin levels be cause for difficulty breathing and tightness of the chest?
Probably. A very low Hct/Hgb would result in very low oxygen carrying capacity of the blood, which means you'd have to breathe very fast to keep oxygen to your tissues. However, if your Hct/Hgb was that low, there would probably be a larger problem at work.Absolutely. Hemoglobin is a protein contained in red blood cells that carries oxygen to, and carbon dioxide away from, the body's cells. A hemoglobin test is typically ordered as part of a complete blood cell (CBC) count. So simply, the less hemoglobin you have, the harder your heart and lungs have to work to carry the sufficient amount of oxygen your body needs to function properly. As far as hematocrit goes, it also can cause breathing difficulty. Here's why.. ...... - 2010-02-08

» Texas Shootout
I am searching for origins of the term "Texas Shootouts" as used in buy-sell agreements. A Texas Shootout is a type of buy-sell agreement that partners, for instance, use to exit a partnership. Shootouts work in roughly the following way: in a two-person 50-50 partnership, the first partner names a price for half of the partnership and the second partner decides whether to pay that price to the first partner (i.e., buy out the first partner) or be paid that price by the first partner (i.e., be bought out by the first partner). The same arrangement is also called "Russian Roulette."...... - 2010-02-08
» 2D Array for a game board
Hi, I'm currently in the early stage of making a small game of the type "if you align 3 identical beads vertically or horizontally they disapear and get replaced by new ones". I'm at the pont of filling my 2D Array, to me, my code makes sense and should work, but for some reason the output is really odd. The main porblem is that my in my 2D array gameBoard[i][j] for some reason the adresses past 1 in the i column do not get defined even tho I'm pretty sure I'm defining them correctly. If you're wondering about the ifs and the continues, when I fill my board, I dont want any identical pieces 3 times in a row so a valid combination is not already on the board when the user first starts the game. » 105 or 150mm marco lens??
really like the idea of having a marco lens in my collections of glass. I think I got it down to two chooses: the sigma 105/F2.8 and the 150/F2.8 any thoughts? :thumbup:Both are optically very good, however the 150mm has had some great reviews and may be Sigma's best tele macro. Of course the more important question is, which focal length would you consider more useful? Some like the extra distance from subject of a 150 or 180 - maybe a better choice for insects and other tiny subjects likely to move if you get close - but personally I find shorter telephotos useful for more purposes. As for other options, I'd suggest looking at the Tamron 90mm or 180mm macros, and the Tokina 100mm macros, which are of a similar price to...... - 2010-02-08
» Locating in-line transmitter in hot water.
I was called out to a local hospital to inspect and locate some probable defects in the main trunkline, which originated in the boiler/mechanical plant, then through the kitchen and cafeteria, followed branches to four wards, then out to the street. Using the 4550 locator and the color mini w/in-line transmitter, I couldn't get a strong enough signal to locate the sonde. When pulled out of the pipe and tested above ground, the signal peaked. I had to tape a flushable 512Hz transmitter around the spring and run them both to get a locatable signal. I had my local Rigid Rep. meet me on the job. He told me that it was the tempature of the hot water flowing in the line that caused the problem. Is this so?Need to get some more info if we c...... - 2010-02-08

» Can I re-can nacho sauce into smaller portions?
My husband bought a huge can of nacho sauce and I know we won't eat it all before it goes bad. Does anyone know if we can re-can it into smaller jars? It says not to freeze it or I would. Sounds like it's time for a nacho party. You could probably store it in the fridge for a week...or maybe two...in airtight plastic containers--but I don't think it's going to make it last that much longer. You might try using it in other recipes--cheesy tuna casserole (or chicken, yeah?), cheesy tomato soup (with croutons!), or maybe as a topping for mexican lasagna? It doesn't have to be cheese on chips to use it up! :)Just keep it in a plastci conatiner in the fridge. That stuff has enough preservatives in it to keep for weeks, e...... - 2010-02-08

But oh my god do I like the way it looks! I read in a review somewhere that it is only about as tall as a AA battery. I had a Rolleiflex TLR and really liked it, but I found that I wasn't dedicated enough to actually use it, and that I didn't need the capability of the medium format film. The fact that it didn't have a working light meter didn't help matters. Now that Shawns gettiing old and planning on retiring soon, I think he will win the royal rumble and face Undertaker at Wrestlemania. It would make for a nice end to his career, and set up a brilliant match for Wrestlemania 25.Here is my prediction: Both Shawn Michaels and Undertaker will be absent from Wrestlemania 25 due to injury. Besides everyone is hyping this match up as if they never ever faced each other. I am sending this same information to many interested students of history, science, mathematics and design, that of a "Zodiac-geometric design" found among the Nazca lines of Peru. As you may know, the origins of these figures, and the persons and tribes who created them, are unknown. I would venture to say that only advanced engineering academics of today could reproduce this amazing design, with any accuracy as it appears to entail. Possibly they were of Asian origin, nobody knows. These latest designs I believe were discovered by G. J. de Jong, of the Netherlands.... and is also mentioned on World-mysteries.com.... I am from the US and am currently working in Spain, yet i believe that my time here is almost over. What I would like to do next is join a monastery in Japan. Why Japan? Well my first girlfriend was Japanese. Yeah i know its not a good reason but I've always been interested in Japanese culture and language ever since then. My friend is Burmese and invited me to join a Burmese monastery the next time he goes to Myanmar (to be a monk for 9 days) but I would like something for a year or so (or longer). I also don't know if the situation in Myanmar is safe for Americans. So i guess my question is what opt...... - 2010-02-08
» The Birth Of The Stretford End
The West Stand – somehow it has a very unfamiliar ring about it. I look at the towering monument which is very much part of the magnificent stadium that is Old Trafford today, but in my heart I feel that it has replaced something that contributed so much to Manchester United’s proud history. In reality, it has replaced something that really was irreplaceable – the Stretford End. It’s like having Roast Beef without Yorkshire Pudding, Morecambe without Wise, Stilton without Port. Something drastically is missing. I first stood at the Stretford End of the ground in the late 1950’s. Back then, it was just a small insignificant row of terracing. I suppose that its main claim to fame in those days was that before a match started, be it ...... - 2010-02-08

If you know the right office to check with, you could always try to contact them to ask if it's been insanely long. They might not know much if you're talking about at the undergraduate level since there are tons of you, but you can always try if it's really bugging you. Grad school. . . yeah, I've done that.

I would venture to say that only advanced engineering academics of today could reproduce this amazing design, with any accuracy as it appears to entail.
